Saltwater Fishing in Calm, Remote Waters. Producing the Highest Catch Rates in Alaska!
Enjoy the amazing abundance and great fishing variety at Whalers' Cove. These rich waters produce all five species of Pacific salmon, plus halibut, cod, red snapper, sea bass, and 20 other varieties of rockfish. Due to the natural quantity of herring, the salmon feed in this area for months before migrating to their home rivers. This is one of the world's finest fisheries.
Whalers' Cove Lodge employs Alaska's finest sport charter fleet. Our boats are built for comfort and speed, accommodating a limit of four anglers per boat. We have nine 32' by 11.5' boats, providing plenty of deck space, plus a warm cabin and marine head. Guides at Whalers' Cove are lifelong fishermen averaging over 20 years experience in local waters. Your time on the water is a fishing dream come true in both quantity and quality.

Five species of Pacific salmon, halibut, cod, snapper, and rockfish add up to a fishing bonanza. Catch rates at Whalers' Cove far surpass those of any other saltwater area in Alaska. Guides average over 20 years experience in this area. Self-guided packages are available.

Experienced fishermen may prefer fishing out of our "self guided" boats. Our self-guided fleet is comprised of 10 18' Klamath offshore boats with 50 hp Honda outboards. We suggest two to three anglers per boat. All boats are completely outfitted with all gear and equipment. In addition, two 21' Bolton day cruisers are outfitted for parties of three to four. Self-guided anglers will receive plenty of assistance from the dock crew and guides to make your fishing safe and productive.
When you return to the dock at the end of the day, your fish will be filleted, vacuum sealed, and flash frozen. Your fish will be boxed in airline-approved shipping boxes for your trip home. The taste of Alaska shared with family and friends will be a wonderful part of your Alaskan fishing adventure.
